Gilmour Newsletter – Week ending 15th March
Welcome to our weekly roundup of what has been happening this week at Gilmour Primary School!
Parent Governor Elections:
We would like to thank all who stood for the role of Parent Governor. We are pleased to announce that Joy Snowdon and Peter Eastwood have been elected.
3LG Working on our chopping, grating and spreading skills.
10 have been using cubes to measure objects around the room. We have been using the key words longer, shorter, wider, taller when describing the length and height of objects.
RD have been watching the chicks as they hatch!
6T really enjoyed their workshop on emotions from the If U Care Share Foundation.
2J – As biologists we have learnt about the life cycle of a bulb and used the vocabulary “dormant” and “mature” when explaining the cycle to a partner.
RQ Have had a very busy week planting in their Outdoor Classroom.
Nursery have been doing some Science experiments and learning about our lovely world.
5T This week in PSHE we have been practising the recovery position to help us in an emergency.
3G Have been investigating magnets in science.
Year 5 went on trip to Chester Zoo this week !
