Coming Soon – After School Club

We are delighted to announce that from January 2025 Gilmour Primary will be offering after school club provision from 3:15pm to 6:00pm.  Children will be cared for by familiar members of the Gilmour Family.  They will be offered a variety of healthy hot and cold snacks whilst they enjoy unwinding with friends.  Children will have access to the outdoor classrooms and will enjoy age appropriate activities such as football, tennis, gardening and climbing on the adventure playground. There will be dedicated spaces to relax and unwind as well as craft, role play, small world and construction areas for all to enjoy.  

How many places will be available to families? 

We are delighted to share that we can offer 80 places at our after-school club.  Places will be allocated on a first come first served basis. 

How do I enrol my child for after school club provision?

From Friday 8th November families can complete a “Request a place” web form to request a place for their child/children.  Simply select the days that you require.  Once we reach capacity the link will be removed and replaced with an expression of interest form so that families can join the waiting list. 

How much will the provision cost? 

After school provision will cost £12 per session. This must be paid one month in advance.

Do I have to commit to five days a week? 

No, families will need to commit to and pay for, set days one month in advance. 

Does my child have to stay until 6’ O’clock?

Children do not have to stay until the end of the session. You can collect your child at any time.  The price per session is £12 regardless of the time your child is collected. 

I work shifts. Can after school club accommodate this?

Families must commit to set days each week and these must be paid for one month in advance.

Is the club term time only?
Yes, the club is term time only and will not be available when the school is closed. The club will also not be available on school INSET days or days when the school is closed to children this will include but is not limited to bank holidays, unforeseen emergency closure, days when school is used for voting.  

How do I make payments? 

Once you have been offered a place you will be able to make payment via the Parent Pay / School Money system. 

Can you pay with childcare vouchers/tax free childcare?

Yes. You will be asked to indicate this on your contract. 

What if my child does not attend a session?

We are unable to offer refunds. If your child does not attend a session you will still be charged.  

How much notice do I need to provide if I want to withdraw my place?

Families will need to provide one month’s notice.

If your child wanted to go to a normal after school club could they then go into the paid provision at 4:30 when the club finishes?

Yes, the fee remains the same. 

What if I am late collecting my child?

Last collection is 6pm. If you arrive after 6pm you will be charged £5 per five minutes or part there of. This will be taken using the school’s clock. You will not be able to book further months until all fees and charges are paid. 

Parents who are repeatedly late will have their place withdrawn.
