We really love to hear about what the children are getting up to outside of school. If you have something that you would like to share and have featured in our newsletter / Twitter / Instagram and mentioned in our assembly please send a photo and a description including:
- Who it is (We will only use first names in our newsletters / social media)
- Which class
- A brief description of the event
We love to know about:
- Exciting places visited
- Events outside of school
- Books your child is enjoying and why (It might encourage others to read the same book)

Reminders for next week: (Week beginning11th November)
- On Friday 15th November children are welcome to come to school wearing their own clothes in exchange for new / unopened gift sets or new / unopened toys.
- On Friday 22nd November children are welcome to come to school wearing their own clothes in exchange for bottles of drink for the bottle tombola.
- On Friday 29th November children are welcome to come to school wearing their own clothes in exchange for chocolate / sweets / cans or still drinks in the Infant Department. In the Junior Department children are asked to bring cakes.

Lottie from 6S had lots of fun at the Big Bake, competing against 11 other teams to make the best Halloween Pumpkin cake…. She didn’t win but had lots of fun being creative!
Joel from year 3 enjoyed Chill Factor in Manchester during half term. He loved the slides.
Before half term Adelaide’s dance group auditioned for a place to dance at Disney land Paris summer 2025 . And they did it !!
George would like to share his birthday surprise which him and Rowan enjoyed this weekend – go karting!
News from around our busy school
. 4P have been creating beautiful textured artwork, completed with secondary and tertiary colours.
This week in English 5B have been role playing the character of ‘the boy’ in our vehicle text FArTHER.
Class RQ have had so much fun celebrating Diwali, Bonfire Night and Eid this week! Thank you to Anayah’s family for all of the beautiful Eid decorations and special food.
Class 1T enjoyed making collages and painting in Art this week.
2C have turned into chefs this week, preparing their own healthy salad! We had to chop, peel and grate our ingredients and finished by adding a tasty dressing.
A huge congratulations to our school prefects, who received their shiny new badges in assembly this afternoon. We are so proud of your exemplary behaviour!
5T comparing culture wheels in PSHE
6M have enjoyed reading the start of their new English book ‘A story like the wind’ this week. To understand what it would be like to be a refugee fleeing their home the children role-played being passengers on a small, cramped vessel at sea during a terrifying storm.
This week in RA, we have been learning about different celebrations such as Diwali, Bonfire Night, Eid and Diwali. We spent the week creating rangoli pictures, mehndi patterns, fireworks and being firefighters to keep people safe on Bonfire Night. We even made an amazing model of the Houses of Parliament in the block play area.
Year 1 have been making collages to paint on in art. They are experimenting with different textures and surfaces to see how it will impact their painting.
This week, 3M enjoyed creating delicious and healthy yoghurt desserts We used Greek yogurt, fresh fruit, and oats to make a yummy treat. Some students loved the desserts more than others, but everyone had fun trying something new.
3LG enjoyed making fruit yoghurt bowls.
Nursery observing and talking about changes in the seasons and weather.
4S music time with Cerys, learning to play the ukulele.
Year 6 really enjoyed BikeAbiltiy this week.
